Anya was a performer in the community theater at a young age and pursued the arts throughout her adolescence. Anya Josephine Marie Taylor Joy was an actor for a long time. Her accomplishments include numerous awards such as the Golden Globe Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award in addition to nominations for a BAFTA Film Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. Taylor-Joy quit school when she aged 16 in order to pursue a profession in acting. Anya Taylor Joy was born in Miami Florida on 16 April 1996. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, along with Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, she is approximately half English in half Spanish. Her father is Argentine, of Scottish-English descent. Her mother is Spanish as well as English heritage. Taylor-Joy was born into a household of six children. Four of them are siblings of the marriage that she had with Taylor's dad. The family relocated from Buenos Aires to Victoria, London at the age of six when Taylor-Joy was born. Taylor-Joy acknowledged that the move had been painful, and she refused to pursue a degree in English because she hoped to go back to Argentina. The school she attended had to be changed to Northlands in order to attend Hill House. Later, she enrolled at Queen's Gate School in which she studied Ballet and participated in school-based plays. After dropping out at 16 she pursued an acting profession. Taylor-Joy grew up as an actor and was sure she would eventually become an actor. The realization of her dreams came when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
