Arike Ogunbowale

Arike ogunbowale (born April 2, 1985) is an American professional player of the basket ball. She is a player for the Dallas Wings and the Women's National Basketball Association. She played for Notre Dame Fighting Irish in college, before being drafted with the number 5 overall by the Wings during the 2019 WNBA draft. Arike Ogunbowale was born on the 2nd March, 1997 in Milwaukee Wisconsin to parents Yolanda and Gregory Ogunbowale. There are two brothers: Mario (26 and 26 years older) as well as Dare Ogunbowale (20 years old). Being the youngest of them, her parents gave her the best treatment. Gregory was a Nigerian Army officer for a length of duration. Ogunbowale grew within a family that was busy. Her brother Dare played football and Yolanda Ogunbowale, her mother played softball. Ogunbowale was a participant in the 2013 FIBA Americas U16 Championships 2014 FIBA U17 World Championships 2013 3x3 Championships of FIBA for U18 in which she was awarded gold medals. The 7th of July 2014 was the day she was also named to the 2014 USA Youth Olympic Women's Basketball Team. Ogunbowale was also named on the ACC All-Freshman Team following her first year of collegiate basketball. Kobe Bryant even thanked her for her important shots at the NCCA Tournament. Ogunbowale, a relative newcomer to the game of basketball, has already made herself a household name. She is certain to continue to grow throughout her professional career.
