Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born August 20 1974, Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was born and raised in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest child of seven. Her father served in U.S. service in Italy. At the beginning of 1990, she started professional dancing and acting at Colorado's Dinner Theatre and the Country Dinner Playhouse in Colorado. In Minnesota she worked at a regional theater, where she played a role in Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999) was a parody documentary about beauty pages. Her screen debut was a huge success with the role of an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet moved into Los Angeles where she began professional acting. Her husband Tony Curtis was her partner from June 1950 to September 1992. They had two kids, Kelly Curtis as well as Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh, discovered by actor Norma Shearer Leigh signed a contract with MGM to launch her career as a film actor in the latter half of the 40s. She appeared in several popular movies in the subsequent decade like Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960) and Living It Up (a Martin and Lewis-film from 1954).
